27 February 2003
Dear Dr. B,
It is with great anticipation that I accept the position at your school. I have worked hard to get where I am today, and I have no doubts that I will find new adventures as I move across the country and begin a new position in LES.
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with you and appreciate the time that you took to get to know me through simple conversation rather than through an interview of merely questions and answers. I look forward to meeting the rest of the staff in August.
The last five years at my current district have been incredibly beneficial; I have learned much from my colleagues. I’ve been blessed to have had the opportunities to work with such talented and compassionate people. It is this experience that I feel will pave a much smoother path of transition.
As I think of the possibilities that might come with my new position, the anticipation nearly overwhelms me. It seems like just yesterday that I was only thinking of relocating to the South. Now it has become a reality.
Thank you again for this gift,
Maggie
