I've just returned from my trip to Tennessee to meet up with my sweetie-pie-honey-bunches-of-oats friend, Sandy. I had the best time! I had joked around with her about doing all those girlie things--painting each other's toe-nails, curling our hair, playing with make-up, and the slumber-party staple, pillow fights.

Much to any voyeur's disappointment, we did none of those things!

Sandy and I had a great time (at least I did!), and I am very eager to visit her again, or have her visit me. We spent some of our time at the mall, of course, and watched a movie (Signs). She and I have been friends for a very long time now, and we had always discussed via icq/email and telephone how it would be so nifty neato (yes, I said nifty neato!) to actually get to watch a movie together in the theater. Well, we finally got to do just that. Yay for us!

We also spent a lot of time working on my new website. It is completely in the infancy stage. Actually, it's in the embryonic stage! It's just been created and needs a lot of development. However, it won't be long until it is up and running. She and her hunnybunny helped me a lot with figuring things out. She has been encouraging me to get my own domain from the beginning of my journal, but I was too afraid! Heh! It's a lot of work, this I do know. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to kind of begin things and get them running with Sandy (and Jay) right there helping me as I figured things out. They are so cool! [edited: Of course, it’s now created. ;-)]

Once I do get the site going, I will tell a little bit about where the name for my new journal-to-be came from. For now, I will just tell you that it's basically a verse that at first appearance seems to be profound, but upon closer inspection is just really nonsense. Although I don't write in prose, I thought that it was kind of funny and how I feel about myself and my writing sometimes! That, and it sounds good. ;-)

Besides working on the computer, I was able to get to talk with and be goofy with Sandy. We are both so much alike in some ways (and completely opposite in others) that it makes for a really interesting get-together. I'm fairly certain that I saw those eyes of Jay's roll back into his head a time or two. Heh! Hmmm... Maybe he was looking for something back there. I'm fairly certain that he thought Sandy and I had lost it at times! Really, though, we never lost our sanity; we just evaded it a few times.

The time that I was afforded in Tennessee definitely slipped away far too quickly. When Monday came, I didn't want to leave! However, I didn't have a choice, dagnabit.
